📅 Day 2 – November 23rd: Mid-Distance & Distance Focus (200 & Up) 🌊
Control the Pace. Own the Race. Finish Strong.
Swimming the 200 and longer events isn’t just about endurance — it’s about strategy. Go out too fast and you burn out. Start too slow and you never catch up. The best mid-distance and distance swimmers know exactly how to pace each lap, conserve energy, and finish with power.
This clinic gives swimmers the tools to race smarter, not just harder. Through broken swims, pacing strategies, and tactical sets, athletes will learn how to take control of their races from the first stroke to the final touch.
🔹 Why This Clinic Matters
Most practices don’t give swimmers enough opportunities to practice real racing strategy for longer events. This session will:
✅ Teach how to pace the 200, 400, and beyond with confidence.
✅ Train broken swims that mimic race fatigue and teach control.
✅ Build the skills to close races with strength, not exhaustion.
🔹 Goals:
-
Learn pacing strategies for mid-distance & distance races.
-
Build endurance while maintaining technique.
