Race Preparation
May 9 – 10, 2026
Race day starts before you touch the water.
Win Before the Whistle
Most swimmers show up to a meet, jump in to warm up, and hope for the best. That’s not a plan — that’s a gamble. This clinic teaches your swimmer the entire pre-race system used by Olympic athletes: how to activate the body on deck, build a water warm-up that peaks at the right moment, use visualization to race the swim in their mind before it happens, and recover properly between events. They’ll finish the weekend by putting it all together in a short race. The confidence they walk away with is the real prize.
The Race Prep System
Step 01
Dynamic Dryland Warm-Up
Activations, band work, and dynamic stretching to wake up the nervous system before you get wet.
Step 02
Water Warm-Up Routine
A structured in-pool warm-up: pace builds, stroke activation, and race-speed touches.
Step 03
Visualization Techniques
See the race before you swim it. Mental rehearsal techniques used at the Olympic level.
Step 04
Proper Warm-Down
How to flush lactate and recover between events so you’re ready to race again.
Race Time
Put It to the Test
A short race at the end to apply everything learned β warm up like a pro, then go.
